GSL Education are offering an exciting opportunity for an Exam Invigilator to join our dedicated team at a secondary school in Southampton, Hampshire!

About The Role

As an Exam Invigilator in Southampton, Hampshire, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that exams are conducted in accordance with the school’s regulations and procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a fair and supportive examination environment.

Key Responsibilities Of Exam Invigilator

• Oversee the examination room to ensure a calm and orderly environment.
• Ensure that all exam protocols are followed, including the correct distribution and collection of exam papers.
• Provide clear instructions to students before, during, and after the exam, and then attend with any queries.
• Vigilantly monitor students to prevent any form of malpractice or cheating.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during the exam.
• Work closely with other invigilators and school staff to ensure the smooth running of the examination process.

Requirements Of Exam Invigilator

• Strong observational skills to ensure compliance with exam regulations.
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and support to students.
• Punctual and reliable, with a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
• Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and afternoons, during the exam period.

To work with GSL Education as an Exam Invigilator, you will need:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Provide an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have a DBS registered to the Updated Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
