Responsibilities
Will provide expert-level abilities developing strategy and strategic service line work for large commercial health system. This work will include assessment of market and client position and capabilities relative to service line delivery and operations, clinical service capabilities, market demand, competition, future technological changes, physician dynamics and relationships, etc. Work product will include service line plans that include comprehensive and actionable strategies/initiatives designed to achieve client goals around clinical service delivery, distribution of services, volume, quality, safety and financial performance.
Must have extensive and relevant experience in health system service line optimization at both a provider level as well as at the market level in the area of data analysis/research, policy, exchanges, regulatory compliance, operational program implementation, benchmarks, business intelligence, physician models, payment models and operational improvement.
*Will provide day to day project management oversight, identifying and addressing thoroughness and consistency to project deliverables including:
Developing and sustaining client relationships using networking, expertise and facilitation skills that support continuation of new service opportunities
Preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials, and work product created by Guidehouse teams
*Lead/manages a team by generating a vision, establishing direction and motivating members, creating an atmosphere of trust, leveraging diverse views, coaching staff, and encouraging improvement and innovation while managing workstream scope and quality under the umbrella of the larger engagement
*Participates in broader engagement activities and seeks coordination/collaboration across other relevant workstreams
Qualifications:
Demonstrates proven expert-level abilities and success with identifying, obtaining and processing critical data (e.g. benchmarks) to provide innovative thought leadership/strategy and implementation of health system service line optimization, financial, clinical and ancillary operations
A Master’s degree in business, health policy and administration, public policy, public health, actuarial science and/or social service administration
15+ years of previous work experience in the health care industry, preferably in a consulting capacity or consulting firm with a strong track record of developing Service Line Strategy, thought leadership and influencing stakeholders.
Experience strategically positioning solutions to executives or high level sponsors at healthcare providers, state or federal health agencies (4+yrs)
Excellent quantitative analysis skills
Ability to lead multiple concurrent engagements or programs to timeline, scope and budget.
Competencies in Service Line clinical delivery, operations, delivery network models, payment models and physician alignment
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access as well as the ability to conduct research through use of the internet and other information sources
The ability to travel as necessary (50%)

The ability to work overtime as necessary
The annual salary range for this position is $165,800.00-$364,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
