ABOUT THE SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
HFL is looking for creative and highly motivated college students to support and learn from our talented and diverse team of engineering and design staff.Our interns work directly with an experienced team of Principals in Charge, Professional Engineers and Designers within one of our market sector teams to gain exposure to real world projects. Our summer interns work a 40-hour week, beginning mid-May to the end of August. Depending on the selected candidates’ career field, the duties may include:
Perform routine tasks related to mechanical/HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection system design (MEP/FP).
Use AutoCAD and Revit software applications to set up drawings and conduct drafting and design.
Coordinate design plans with other design disciplines
Assist in the coordination of projects from feasibility through construction management phases.
Provide support in other areas to engineering staff as needed

Qualifications:
• Revit or AutoCAD skills desired but not required.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 is preferred.
Requirements:
• Enrolled in an Associate’s Degree program with CADD or Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering curriculum is required.
• Ability to work in a team focused environment.
• Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
• Pre-employment Background Screening and motor vehicle checks are required.
