Who We Are
The Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club (HTAC) was founded in 1967 and has grown to become the leading and most decorated competitive swim team in Atlantic Canada.
Trojans is a non profit organization run by a professionally hired staff and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, including past and present Trojan parents and swimmers. The club is a very stable organization that has grown to almost 260 members. It has developed due in large part to the hard work and dedication of parents, volunteers, and coaches.
HTAC prides itself on providing a swimming program where every Swimmer can excel to their desired level of performance in a positive and supportive training environment. HTAC promotes the Long-Term Swimmer Development strategy outlined by Swimming Canada and Swim Nova Scotia. The club works towards the goal of being a model competitive club to the Atlantic region and across Canada.

The Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club is a busy but informal environment. Our club office is located on the pool deck at Dalplex, Dalhousie University’s indoor athletics facility – dress code is informal to say the least!
You will have autonomy in most areas of your work with a strong support group of volunteer professionals and paid professional coaching staff. Not knowing the swimming world is not a barrier – we will teach you all about it.
Flexibility as to hours. While we need to have you in the office during the day at least some of the time, we can work out the details with you. This position would be ideal for someone returning to work, post-retirement or with kids in school.
