Hansen Technologies Looking for Business Analyst at Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

About The Role

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join our next generation utilities billing software division in Auckland. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for providing high quality business design and product direction in a collaborative team environment using Agile methods. In this role, you will capture and communicate product change requests from stakeholders, become a product expert, and support training and testing needs.

About You

• You have 3+ years of experience in IT, energy, or related fields involving customer management, metering, or billing solutions.
• Proficient in documentation (User Stories and Acceptance Criteria) with superior communication skills – 100% fluent English for managing senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Flexible scheduling to collaborate with off-shore team members and a commitment to working at least 2 days per week in our central Auckland office.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and document business requirements for development projects through effective client and stakeholder communication.
• Generate professional product and process documentation for client and internal use.
• Contribute to Agile processes, including sprint planning, reviews, estimations, and assisting with Statements of Work (SOW).
• Provide expertise in Hansen products and the utilities industry, including testing support, training, and contributing to pre-sales efforts.

Desired Qualifications

• Pre-sales experience in the IT industry, including software demos and RFP responses.
• Willingness to travel internationally for occasional client meetings.
• Proficiency with Jira issue tracking and SQL database queries, along with experience in roles such as test engineer, trainer, or pre-sales support in the IT industry.
