Job Summary
The Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) promotes increased recruitment, retention, and advancement of underrepresented minority students and faculty at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. The Office seeks to emulate the Harvard tradition of excellence in education, science, and public health by supporting a well-trained faculty, while creating oral health leaders reflecting the larger community that we serve.
The Harvard School of Dental Medicine seeks a Coordinator who is committed to the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion and who enjoys a fast-paced environment. The Office of DIB will play a lead role in developing and implementing a School-wide strategy for achieving a culture of inclusivity and belonging.
Position Description
The coordinator is primarily responsible for the day-to-day and overall functions of the Office. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, the coordinator performs a complex and wide range of management and administrative activities and contributes to the longer-term goals and priorities of the office.

Basic Qualifications
A minimum 5 years’ experience in higher education (e.g., higher education administration, student affairs, diversity and inclusion) required. Education may count towards experience.

Work is performed in an office/clinical setting.
The primary work location for this position is Boston, MA and in order to be on Harvard payroll, you must reside in one of the following states – MA, NH, RI, ME, CT, VT, NY, or MD. The Harvard School of Dental Medicine will support flexible work schedules subject to individual departments’ business needs.
