Harvard University Hiring for Public Safety Data and Administrative Coordinator at Cambridge, MA Full Time

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Compliance at the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD), the Public Safety Data and Administrative Coordinator assists with conducting workload and crime analysis to support the timely and accurate reporting of Public Safety Information, compliance with the Clery Act, and records management.

• Collaborates with the University’s Clery Act Compliance Officer in the preparation of the Annual Security Report through the requesting of criminal statistics, the analysis of criminal statistics and the drafting/editing of the report.
• Participates in researching and data gathering efforts to support the annual submittal of three years’ worth of criminal statistics to the DOE.
• Assists with maintenance of the content on the Department’s website.
• Proactively and upon request, performs research on best practices and theories of crime prevention, threat assessment, and other relevant practices in support of HUPD initiatives and/or specific cases.
• Stays abreast of pending and final changes to the Clery Act and other laws or regulations affecting Clery Act provisions
• Compose and publish a daily log to maintain compliance with Massachusetts General Law and the Clery Act.
• Assists the Assistant Director for Compliance in completing crime, workload, and administrative analysis.
• Ensures ongoing accuracy and updates on list of buildings and properties owned and/or controlled by the University, as well as on the list of emergency contacts for schools and departments.
• Disseminates incident reports per established department protocol.

This position will be based in Cambridge, MA. All remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (CA, CT, MA, MD, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT). Individual flexible and remote work options for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
