Job Summary
Position Description
The Whipple Lab at Harvard University has a full-time position available for a Research Assistant I. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide comprehensive technical support for projects related to gene expression regulation in neurons by non-coding RNAs. The primary responsibilities of this position are as follows:
The successful candidate will perform tasks related to the research project independently, but subject to review by supervisor.
Basic Qualifications
Background in and knowledge of biology or biological sciences.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
B.S. degree in biology or biological sciences strongly preferred.
Basic knowledge of general laboratory practices and procedures is required.
At least one year of laboratory research experience is strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must be well-organized with attention to detail.
Must be self-motivated with excellent time-management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

Additional Information
This is a one- year term position with possibility of extension contingent on performance and funding.
