Taitara Mahi – Senior Lifeguard
Permanent Full Time – 40 hours per week
The successful candidate will be enrolled in and/or currently undertaking or willing to undertake learning in:
- National Pool Lifeguard Award
- First Aid
- Pool Water Treatment certificate
- Child Protection training
Situated in the heart of Ngāti Kahungunu, the Hastings district and Hawke’s Bay offer an enjoyable environment in which to live, work and play.
The purpose of this position is to:
- Lifeguard – When undertaking lifeguard duties, the purpose of the position is to provide aquatic supervision, customer service, safety, emergency response and facility presentation.
- Shift leadership – To provide leadership and direction to ensure normal operation and prescribed duties from team leaders are followed.
- Additional responsibilities – To undertake additional delegated responsibilities to aid in the running of the facility as well as improve staff capability with regards to succession planning.
