Responsibilities: Answer and direct phone calls; Organize mail and schedule appointments, court dates, and discovery deadlines; Write and distribute email, correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms; Assist in the preparation of legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, notices; Maintain filing system and manage office supplies; Operate litigation software systems, accounting software systems–including trust accounting; Provide general support to clients. Requirements and Skills: Experience as an Administrative/Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work; Attention to detail and problem-solving skills; Proficiency in Quickbooks, MyCase (litigation management software) WordPerfect/MS Word, Kofax/Adobe (.pdf), Outlook Exchange, MS PowerPoint; Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines; Working knowledge of the legal system would be a plus.
