Your new role

Looking for a Senior Software Tester to join our client’s specialist wireless waveform engineering team in their new central Sydney R&D facility in Chippendale, five minutes’ walk from Central Station.

In this role, you will not only ensure whether the current quality standards are met but also strive to improve on accepted practise for better, faster results. This is a technical role that requires in-depth industrial knowledge in addition to scripting skills.

What you’ll need to succeed

• At least three years’ experience in similar Software Test roles.
• Very good working knowledge of networking protocols such as IP, TCP, UDP, VoIP (SIP/RTP).
• Experience of scripting test cases in SQL, bash, python and Perl.
• Experience of the telecommunications market, perhaps in PABX, Mobile, Land Mobile Radio or Military
• Proven experience of Software Quality Assurance principles, processes and practices.
• Strong knowledge of the full software development life cycle.
• Ability to produce documentation including software test plans and software test reports.
• Considering the nature of the work, prefer PR holders / AU citizens for this role.
