Clinical Biochemistry is a clinical scientific discipline within Pathology, undertaking the analysis of many different biological samples types and interpretation of results to help in the diagnosis, prognosis, monitoring and screening for disease. Clinical Biochemistry employs many different analytical techniques in addition to providing clinical and scientific advice to clinical colleagues in many clinical sub-specialties in both Primary and Secondary care. Clinical Biochemistry is an attractive specialism making a considerable contribution to direct patient care.
