This is an interesting and varied role working in a busy and rewarding environment. We look after doctors from the early stages of their careers following graduation from medical school through to qualifying as a hospital Consultant or a GP. The successful applicant will work with a wide range of stakeholders including medical HR in NHS hospital Trusts, hospital Consultants, junior doctors, and the Royal Medical Colleges.
The Education Programme Coordinator is a varied administrative role where you will assist with a portfolio of work that includes the management of training programmes and rotations for doctors in postgraduate training (doctors), educational supervisor approvals, quality of training placements, some course administration, supporting interviews for recruitment and the annual assessment processes for the doctors.
On a typical day you will be dealing with email correspondence, maintaining up to date and accurate training records and databases, responding to queries from doctors or medical HR in the Trusts. You will have meetings to arrange and timetables for the annual assessments to prepare.
Using excellent communication skills, you will be confident liaising with colleagues at all levels and possess extensive IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office packages, with particular emphasis on Excel at an intermediate level and a superior attention to detail. You will be an effective team player and deliver a high standard of work to meet tight deadlines.
You should be able to travel to meetings and conferences offsite when required.
