Health Education England Hiring for Junior Content Designer Job at Leeds, England , UK Full Time

Health Education England (HEE), the workforce planning, training and education arm of the NHS, is seeking four Junior Content Designers to facilitate the development and delivery of HEE’s National Website Platform (NWP) service. The NWP is a new service being developed to transform a patchwork of legacy website technologies, with no consistent user experience, into a modern digital experience platform, enabling more responsive and flexible customer service.

The platform will aim to connect our customers with the HEE services and information they need for the progression of their own training, and for the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to the patients and public of England.

The Junior Content Designers work underpins the realisation of the NWP and wider HEE strategies, and helps meet the needs of the users of the NWP and other HEE products and services.

This job description is not exhaustive and may change as the post or the needs of the service develop. Such changes will be subject to consultation between the post holder and their assignment manager and, if necessary, further job matching or evaluation.

• Work within an Agile Service Team.
• Ensure that best practice content design and content management principles are embedded in the development and maintenance of the service.
• Provide professional services through employing content development skills and supporting the implementation of strategic plans for improving the effectiveness of content.
• Guide and support colleagues in the transformation of HEE’s current content management processes.
• Create, edit and disseminate high quality content.
• Represent the profession to internal and external users, stakeholders and suppliers.
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of a range of disciplines and understand the importance of content design, service design, working to Agile methodologies, and using a shared toolkit of techniques, processes and systems.
• Work semi-autonomously on the delivery of specific plans and will lead on the delivery of smaller projects and work that contribute to a wider programme of activities.

The role will support the development and delivery of the HEE National Website Platform. They will work across HEE’s 7 regions supporting the roll out and adoption of the service, ensuring high quality and adherence to associated standards and compliance. The role will be line managed by the Content Designer who will report to the NWP Service Owner.

The post holder will be expected to be flexible and will likely be required to work across the many different areas of Health Education England as business priorities and demands change.

Remote working is an option, with the occasional team meetings at one of HEE’s offices.

Salary Progression

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 6 with a full-time starting salary of £32,306, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 5 years’ service.

For posts based in Inner London, the above salaries will include the additional supplement of 20% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,608 per annum and a maximum payment of £7,097 per annum.

This is offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and is based on office location.
