Technology Services is responsible for the operational delivery of core infrastructure and workspace solutions for the Northern Region.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

This key, strategic, role owns and drives the strategic planning, architecture, and design of our operating environment ecosystems. You will also be responsible for championing IT Risk (including BCP planning and testing) and ensuring alignment with Cyber Security Standards.

You will own and drive regular reporting (management and stakeholder) of performance, capacity, lifecycle management as well as analysing future requirements that support ‘always-on’ technology and providing input to capital planning and realisation of key technology outcomes.

Ngā Pūkenga me ngā Wheako – Skills & Experience

• 7+ Years’ experience managing medium to large size infrastructure environments eg 200+ servers
• 5+ Years’ system engineering experience, designing and implementing infrastructure and application platforms
• 2+ Years’ experience working with vendors to achieve operational excellence

Working knowledge of : 

• Shared Storage Systems (Tier 1 and 2), Storage Area Networking, Storage Virtualisation & Management Platforms
• Data Protection Technology Platforms (BE 2010 etc.), Online (Near-line) Archival technologies (HP MAS or equivalent), Grid computing platforms (Exadata etc.)
• Desired, but not necessarily required, qualifications: Operations Management and/or Microsoft Operations Framework, Formal ITIL qualification, Prince 2 Foundation Certification, MOF Certification
