We are looking for Permanent part time male Support Workers for young males in Gisborne region for our Whānau Support Services.

What’s the role about?

As a Support Worker you will be working with a variety of individuals to enable them to participate in meaningful activities in the community i.e. swimming or to sporting activities, going on walks to the park, arts and crafts, movies – the opportunities are endless.

If you are passionate to support children, youth and young adults with intellectual or physical disabilities, this is a wonderful opportunity for you. You will be able to help people grow and achieve greater independence, develop strong social skills and support them to be part of their community – you will be somebody who really thrives off helping others.

We’re looking for people with the following skills:

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours
• Experience working with youth is advantageous
• Availability to work after school hours and weekends
• Full drivers’ license and owning your own vehicle is essential.
