Job Summary Position provides overall information technical support to clients; participates in needs assessment discussions and makes recommendations on specifications, configuration, replacement and usage of computer equipment, servers, networking equipment, printers, and other technologies and consumer electronics. Will need to take responsibility for all tech calls. Need to stay in contact with employer and clients to develop solutions which encompass the clients’ growth plans, not just the immediate problem. Able to insure all issues are resolved. Excellent communication skills a must. Review and coordinate activity and provide technical analysis and input for incoming cases. Self-motivated, clear communicator, resourceful, and able to multitask. 3 days are onsite at client location, 2 days are based in our office in Saginaw. Responsibilities and Duties Possess and maintain high degrees of technical expertise in the operations, applications and updates for Windows Servers and Operating Systems. Provide support and functions as a resource person answering questions and solving problems for individual users and minimize end user down time. Troubleshoot user problems with various issues such as applications, programs, server problems, login problems, etc. Install, configure, maintain, and repair software/hardware in a Windows or Linux operating system environment; responsible for maintaining computers and peripherals. Assist in elevated tier 1 issues and coordinate with Tier 3 Engineers when necessary Willing to research cases of issues and make proactive adjustments to mitigate future events Provide system access support including account setup on applicable systems. Monitor location software license compliance. Participate in on-call rotation. Run security and Network assessment software Perform network and security audits Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 2-3 years of directly-related technical support experience. Work towards advanced degree with a major in IT systems preferred Microsoft/CompTIA certifications are a plus Knowledge of computer technology and procedures (see sample list below) Microsoft Windows Servers (2012/2016/2019) Active Directory Microsoft Windows 8,10 Microsoft Outlook 2016/2019/O365 Microsoft Office Applications LAN/WAN Basic Technologies and Troubleshooting Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
