We are seeking a highly motivated, Software Engineer for our Ashville, NY in-person office.

Who You Are

You studied Engineering. A Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is a must.

You are a people person with the ability to interface and collaborate effectively with other team members. Your strong organization and communication skills will contribute to your success.

You are proficient with business and engineering applications: Windows based development tools (i.e. Visual Studio C/C++, ClearCase, Git/Bitbucket)

You have working knowledge of Object-Oriented Design methodology and C++ programming.

What You’ll Do

Software development and support for new and existing products

Development of software in C++ language and testing for functionality

Support software development projects by developing specifications to support such projects

Will provide general product support and aid in defining project goals

Provide scheduling and status information, including presentations company wide

Work diligently and cohesively with Engineering colleagues as well as different departments throughout the company.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5 Years Software Engineer Experience

Basic knowledge of test equipment, machinery, and CMM’s (Coordinate Measurement Machines)

Knowledge of CAST tools such as WinCast and Squish and Software Configuration Management

Good conceptual, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of Linux, QT, and CNC is a plus

Minimal travel requirement. Possibility to travel to Trade Shows, visit Customers, and visit affiliated offices.
