OTAGO RESCUE HELICOPTER PARAMEDIC
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – Rescue Helicopter Paramedics and ICPs
Experienced Paramedics and Intensive Care Paramedics (ICPs) are invited to register an interest to join the growing Helicopters Otago Limited’s (HOL’s) / Otago Rescue Helicopters clinical flight crew. Operating from bases at Taieri airfield in Dunedin and Queenstown airport, the company provides government-contracted emergency (helicopter) air ambulance services to the lower half of the South Island.
HOL is looking for well qualified clinical crew with the right (adaptable) attitude, personality and prepared to work in a team to provide high-level care to patients.
HOL rosters for clinical crew offer a 96-hour (four day-on, four day-off) cycle.
Opportunities exist to improve clinical skills working with HOL’s/ HEMS Clinical Medical Directors and the ICU team at Dunedin hospital (including theatre time), as well as working within a South Island-wide network that sets standards and creates training pathways for clinical development.
HOL has provided helicopter air ambulance and rescue services for decades. It takes pride in its reputation for delivering safe reliable services. As it builds its clinical crew capability it will look to reinforce that reputation with its focus on patient outcomes delivered in an efficient professional and consistent manner through HEMS Clinical.
