Hensel Phelps is currently seeking a creative, self-motivated Senior Marketing Coordinator to join our Mid Atlantic Project Development Team. This key position is in the Mid Atlantic District office in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The Project Development Department supports construction project pursuits throughout the Mid Atlantic region of United States on a wide range of project types and delivery methods. We are seeking a collaborative team player who is detail oriented, possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
Position Description
As a Senior Marketing Coordinator at Hensel Phelps, you will be responsible for working with senior management and the marketing department to develop and implement marketing organization and strategies that align us for project wins.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Leads all Response to Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) and Request for Proposal (RFPs) efforts assigned, including presentations, to ensure that the overall theme, technical scope, staff qualifications, and experience are accurate and graphically pleasing.
Works directly with senior level technical staff to prepare proposal materials including writing, editing, verifying and formatting proposal information and ensuring the various aspects of the proposals and other marketing materials are accurate, timely, high quality and well written.
Provides input and collaboration to help establish priorities and protocols for responding to RFP’s and other marketing related inquiries.
Ensure schedules are met and the various aspects of proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
Create marketing materials including informational documents, qualification packages, advertisements, displays, and brochures
Lead other marketing, communication, and business development efforts as needed.
Organize presentation rehearsals, including actively supporting facilitators and coaches.
Develop promotional materials and advertisements for various clients and publications.
Attend company sponsored events and assist in the coordination and setup.
Develop award submittals and coordinate public relations initiatives as needed, including social media content and participation.
Update company-wide databases with project and proposal information on an ongoing basis
Manage project and staff photography to ensure all assets are up-to-date and current.
Maintain a high-quality of work product and assist in the production of various department deliverables.
Visit/tour project jobsites and collect data and information to be uploaded into the company database.
Travel up to 10% of the time
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to read and understand requests for proposals (RFPs) and qualifications (RFQ’s), and the ability to organize and develop a written response
The ability to prioritize tasks when faced with multiple deadlines
Outgoing personality and professional demeanor
Strong attention to detail and record keeping
Strong team player
Excellent writing and editing skills
Strong creativity and an eye for graphic design and layout
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) as well as Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Business or related degree, preferred
3-5 years of related marketing and proposal experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience marketing professional services within the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industry, preferred
Thorough understanding of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for public and private commercial construction.
