Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager

Heron Construction is one of New Zealand’s largest marine construction companies and has been delivering projects in New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific for over 60 years. Heron Construction is a proud New Zealand owned and operated company, we have successfully completed a wide range of projects developing ports and infrastructure across Australia.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for Project Managers to take responsibility for completion of their assigned project(s). Our projects range in value from $1m to $50m and typically last less than 12 months. So over time you could end up working on varied projects across the marine environment which could include:

· Dredging operations for shoreside facilities

· Port and Marina structures construction, repair and maintenance

· Marine piling

· Sea walls with associated structures

We are looking for a proactive individual with the following skill set:

· Typically a tertiary level qualification in an engineering or construction related subject

· At least 10 years’ experience, to include at least 3 at Project Manager (or Senior Project Engineer) level taking individual responsibility for assigned projects or work scopes

· Experience in one or more of the project types listed above

These are permanent roles, based in Auckland with a company vehicle and free health insurance.
