Higgins Looking for Network Inspector at Masterton, Wellington Region, New Zealand Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Inspector to join the Green team in Masterton, working on the Wairarapa Local Authority Contract covering the Wairarapa region. The scope of works includes maintenance of 802 kilometres of local authority network such as vegetation control, structures (250 bridges) signs and guardrails.

What You Will Be Doing

• Achieving key deliverables of the role under the direction of the Masterton District Road Maintenance performance criteria
• supporting coordinating the forward works programme for the maintenance team, covering routine, cyclic, renewals and paid works
• utilising RAMM contractor to deliver pricing, programmes, client approvals and forecasts against budgets
• Carrying out network inspections in accordance with the network inspection programme
• Identifying and recording defects and issues resulting from inspections and logging them into RAMM
• Inspections of assets to help ensure KPI’s are achieved
• Responding to customer requests (CRM’s)
• Some night work may be required for auditing purposes, this will be organised in advance.
• This role involves being part of an on call roster – on call allowance provided

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Prior experience in the industry with a tier one contractor, council or local authority – minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in road maintenance or construction
• An understanding of the technical, contractual and financial requirements involved in maintenance contracts
• Practical experience using RAMM is essential (or overseas equivalent)
• Full clean Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s License
• A strong focus on Clients and relationships
• A strong focus on health and safety not just your own but your colleagues and the public
