HR Advisor

The Organisation: Highfield Healthcare which incorporates Highfield Hospital and Hampstead Clinic Services are an “Approved Centre” which are registered by the Mental Health Commission. We also have Nursing Home Services which include the Alzheimer Care Centre and Elmhurst Nursing Home and these are registered by HIQA. We continue to grow and evolve our services through the development of new services and continued growth.

Reporting relationship: Reporting to the Head of Human Resources

Hours of Work: This is a permanent full-time post working 37.5 hours based on site, Monday through Friday. Attendance may be required outside of these hours from time to time and flexibility will be expected in this regard.

Key Purpose: Working as part of our HR Team and across the organisation, the HR Advisor will proactively support our employees across our services and supports, partner with the management team, in supporting and providing expertise on operational and strategic HR deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work as part of HR team in providing high quality HR services, supports and expertise to the organisation
• End to end management of employee relations matters and processes across the employee lifecycle
• Actively participate and contribute to the development and delivery of well-being and engagement initiatives
• Development of our employee value proposition with particular focus on learning and development, development of career paths and reward and recognition
• End to end management of performance development and management processes and supports, throughout the employee lifecycle
• Reporting and analyses of key HR Metrics and partnering with key stakeholders to positively influence results and outcomes
• Proactively contributing to completion of organisation change projects

Qualifications, Experience & Person Specification

• Hold CIPD membership or qualification and have a primary degree (level 8) and/or postgraduate (level 9) qualification in HRM
• Demonstrable HR experience with particular focus on employee relations and engagement preferably within Healthcare
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities
• Have the ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team, prioritise and manage a number of issues simultaneously while ensuring attention to detail
• Demonstrate the ability to deliver on a number of HR projects which will run concurrently with the day-to-day work of the department, all with competing deadlines
• Ability to embrace change, innovate and keep up to date with HR developments and legislative changes
• Demonstrate an attitude to work that will encourage positivity, flexibility, and attention to detail in the service provided to staff and to external contacts
