What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Using bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets, and software.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Receiving and recording cash and cheques.
- Producing a variety of reports including invoices and HST report.
- Checking for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings.
- Managing transactions for cash and cheques with banks.
- Interacting with management, customers, and vendors.
- Keeping record of all financial transactions and organizing it.
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- 2 years of related accounting work experience.
- Strong computer and typing skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills.
- A solid book of contacts in the industry.
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
