Himmel’s is a growing organization with locations in Prairieville, New Orleans, Nashville and Houston. We pride ourselves as the door opening experts, not simply a construction material supplier. Our family owned and operated company is seeking a Receptionist to join our team at our Prairieville location.

The Receptionist position is the first impression that potential clients, customers and visitors have with Himmel’s, both in person and over the telephone.

Job Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist incoming guests
• Answer, screen and direct phone calls to the appropriate team members using the central telephone system
• Send correspondence via email, fax and mail.
• Scan and file electronic copies of delivery tickets, packing slips etc.
• Provide administrative support to Warehouse & Branch Manager when necessary
• Able to check in materials electronically
• Maintains office supply inventory
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Familiar with Credit card processing

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to effectively perform in an advanced, fast-paced environment both individually as well as part of a team
• Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, a positive and helpful demeanor and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to routinely lift and move objects weighing up to 20 lbs
• Must pass drug and alcohol screen and successfully complete random screens

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
