The Role

Sudima Queenstown Five Mile is a new 4.5-star hotel in the bustling Frankton area conveniently located in the Five Mile retail precinct with views of the surrounding landscapes, high quality fit-out, well-appointed rooms, restaurant, bar and conference facilities.

We are looking for a Front Office Superstar to join our team. Whilst working predominantly in Night Audit this role will also need to be flexible and assist during the daytime as a Guest Service Agent to meet business demands.

Requirements

From checking guests in/out, through to dealing with guest complaints, this varied position will require exceptional communication skills and the ability to think on your feet. You will be confident in your decision making and have a strong focus on safety and security.

You will be able to problem solve to ensure accuracy in accounting and be able to work unsupervised. You must be strong in using computer systems, reporting and spreadsheeting.

You will love to deliver exceptional 4.5 star service to our guests and anticipating guest needs and ensuring you make the most of their day will be what drives you in your work.

Other tasks include but are not limited to:

• Manage the hotel whilst on shift and when senior managers are not present
• Attend to any emergency issues including security, maintenance, fire, or evacuation
• Ability to create, interpret and present detailed reports.
• Complete Audit procedures and tasks, including running financial reports, investigate anomalies and complete any other end-of-night tasks.
• Carry out regular security walks and check all areas of the hotel (quality and presence).
• Ability to work unsupervised, on your own and as part of a team
• Ensuring our guests are provided with exceptional 4.5 star service – a WOW factor where the personal touch makes us stand out
• Effective liaison with housekeeping, central reservations, maintenance, restaurant, conference and Moss Spa
• Immaculate personal presentation and high level of communication – both written and verbal
• A commitment to being a reliable member of the Front Office team and be able to work flexible horus on a rostered basis including weekends and public holidays.
• Previous front office experience with a minimum of 1-years’ experience in a Guest Services agent role.
• A current GM Certificate preferable
• Knowledge of HMS is advantageous
• Relevant qualification including a degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Accounting or Business Management
