We are seeking a Night Porter/Guest Service Agent to provide an exceptional level of service that exceeds expectations of our guests.

This full-time permanent role (32 hours per week) is based at Novotel Christchurch Airport.

Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa

• Providing a warm and welcoming environment within our hotel where everyone feels at home
• Assisting with valet parking and luggage
• Supporting the Night Manager with guest requests/tasks and overnight checks to be completed
• Resolve any guest issues promptly and successfully ensuring follow-up and excellent communication at all times
• Hotel security floor checks
• Providing local information on Christchurch and the surrounding area
• Help guests with booking activities, restaurants, and travel options
• Maintaining a clean and tidy environment in all common areas, both inside and outside the hotel
• Fix minor technical issues, like changing bulbs, remote control batteries
• Comply with health and safety regulations and follow emergency evacuation procedures

Requirements

• Must be available to work overnight
• Confident and motivated with a strong guest service orientation
• Professional personal presentation and a great work ethic
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable in approach and a team player
• Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
• Full New Zealand Drivers License
• Right to Work in NZ
