    Duties

    • You will interpret, evaluate, develop, and implement emerging IT acquisition and management strategies in accordance with DOD 5000.02 for Operation of the Defense Acquisition System and DOD 5000.75 for Business Systems.
    • You will assess policy needs and develops training, policies, and processes to support IT acquisition, budget, procurement, and IT portfolio management activities.
    • You will provide IT portfolio management expertise in DOD, Navy and command level projects and programs, representing NAVWAR at DOD and DON events and interacting with managers from other Navy commands, ASN and other DOD and non-DoD agencies.
    • You will lead the team to perform IT Procurement Request (ITPR) Reviews and continue process automation.
    • You will assist with program updates to network IDs for network consolidation efforts, including assigning dollar amount to NAVWAR and Navy networks.
    • You will create and manage data calls and taskers on behalf of NAVWAR IT portfolio management.

  • This position requires a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 802 Basic Level within 6 months of appointment.
