Position: Prevention Specialist I
Schedule: Part Time – Monday thru Friday (Occasional weekends & evenings)
Location: York, PA
Program: Kids Group
Role Description: In this role the Prevention Specialist I will deliver prevention services in schools and community settings (including summer camps and a male populated prison).
The job duties of a Prevention Specialist involve working to educate youth, teens and adults about substance use and other high-risk activities. In this career, you will work in schools and communities (including, but not limited to, summer camps and a male populated prison) using social media, speaking engagements, education and fun activities to inspire youth and adults to live their best life. You will also prepare and implement evidence-based educational programming in schools K-12, while encouraging healthy habits and skills that will last a lifetime!
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in health education, education, public health, the social or behavioral sciences or related field OR Â and any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Minimum Experience: Experience working with youth and/or families in a related setting.
Required Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse clearance, Criminal clearance, and fingerprint based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list.

Holcomb offers a generous benefit package to all employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Benefits are available the first day of a new month after completing 30 days of employment. Paid holidays in addition to earned paid time off, 403(B) with company match, and 1 year salary of life insurance is available as well. Some benefits are available to employees working between 25-29 hours per week.
