Mission: Hoops and Homework is a safe and nurturing neighborhood-based
after-school program which expands opportunities for youth in
Framingham. Vision: All children in Framingham, regardless of income or
neighborhood, will have the support and guidance they need to succeed in
school and in life. Job Description: ? Answers and screens telephone
inquiries; takes and routes messages and records intake information ?
Maintenance of Center files for children and staff according to
Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations ? Prepares
correspondence, forms narratives, meeting notes, and other documents to
support work of H&H ? Assists staff in matters of office processes and
operations including, solving office software and equipment problems
such as copy and fax machines to duplicate and transmit materials.
Assists with sorting and routing mail. ? Maintenance and inventory of
program supplies (site, office) ? Prepares and maintains new family
enrollments and assists with prospective family tours. ? Assists in
maintaining a clean and presentable center. ? Accommodate schedule
changes and cover staff when needed ? Performs other duties as assigned
by the Executive Director ? Works with Program Manager in Identifying,
interviewing, and recruiting the correct people to work as volunteers ?
Assist in oversight of our volunteer staff (Create schedules of work and
tasks for volunteers) ? Works with the Program Manager in the
coordinating, scheduling, and communicating with families for the Remote
Learning program ? Assist in managing our state voucher reporting ?
Assist ED in compilation of organization metrics Qualifications: ? High
School Diploma or GED/Hi-Set or ? Associates degree, or college credits
in youth, child or family studies related field. (Actively work towards
degree) or ? BA or BS degree in Education, Social Work, Recreation
Administration, Human Development, or related field preferred. ? Must be
able to lift up to 35 lbs. ? Must be available Monday through Friday
between the hours of 8:30am-6:30pm Experience: ? Working with diverse
populations. ? Working with community agencies and businesses. ?
Previous experience working with children ? Knowledge of office
practices and administrative procedures. Skilled in the use of Microsoft
Works, Google Suite, or Windows environment. Be able to establish and
maintain effective working relationships. Be effective and professional
in verbal and written communication. Must be able to interact with all
levels of staff. Must be able work independently. The Administrative
assistant should operate a personal computer and various software
packages at an advanced level. Must have the capacity to multi-task
effectively and work with confidential information. Must be able to
operate basic office equipment such as fax, copying, and adding
machines. Must be able to work with a diverse population and effectively
present information about the program to varied audiences.
