Country Club in Costa Mesa is looking for a snack bar attendant.

Job Description

Prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, or other food items in the snack bar.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Customer service, interaction with members
• Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
• Season and cook food according to recipes
• Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing with utensils
• Requisition food and beverage from club storage area
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen utensils and equipment
• Portion, arrange, garnish food, and serve food to members
• Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods
• Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption
• Carve and trim meats such as beef, veal, ham, pork, and lamb for hot or cold service, or for sandwiches
• Set up and take down cooking station, all beverages, and candies, outside water and ice station with the day’s necessities
• Process order from the members and guests in a timely manner
• Assist in serving prepared foods for member or outside events stationed in the club house or outside
• Cleans all rubbish and garbage and empties it in the trash container and puts plastic liners in the cans
• Clean and straighten the patio area
• Daily cleaning of the outdoor ice machine
• Carry out any additional requests of supervisors
• Self sustained
• Ability to converse with members and guests
