Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is currently recruiting for a Fulltime Court Liaison.

This position is in clinical services, the person must be flexible. Duties include:

Court Liaison:

• Serve as primary contact for District Attorney staff and Probate Courts from Harris and surrounding counties for all patients for whom applications for court ordered mental health services are pending.

• Communicates in open direct manner sharing information with team members.

• Build, provides and maintains positive relationships with community agencies in order to provide the most appropriate assistance to patients, and to help foster effective working relationships between outside agencies and hospital staff.

• Communication skills are employed so that patient demonstrates feelings of trust and rapport.

• Complete tracking form for Probable Cause and Final Hearing as well as HBHH paperwork

• Serve citations to patients

• Mileage reimbursement for using own transportation to court to file

• File necessary paperwork in Medical Records.

• Tracking of F25 monthly

• Other additional duties, as requested.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of basic clerical or medical/clerical course is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience, preferably in a psychiatric health-care setting.
