HP Looking for Entry Level Full Stack Software Engineer (back-end focus)” at San Diego, CA Full Time

Leads the development of new Software Solutions and Services using Cloud Software development techniques. The Software Cloud Engineering team leads the design, build, and management of Cloud Systems and Infrastructure including Software, Services, and Solutions designed for flexibility, scalability and resiliency to support current and future business needs in an automated, repeatable way.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
• Works with more senior engineers in the design and deployment of software in cloud environments.
• Design and develop solutions that protect and manage cloud native apps and data.
• Assists in the design and implementation of new cloud-based systems.
• Takes direction from more senior engineers with regards to best practices within the cloud engineering function.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventative measures.

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, Node.js, or Javascript.
• Working knowledge of Software and Cloud design patterns and principles.
• Strong experience and preference for agile SW development methodologies, and a DevSecOps approach to code deployment and maintenance.

Scope & Impact

• Supports software leadership.
• Requires minimal supervision to accomplish tasks and fulfill basic responsibilities, and some supervision for more complex tasks.
• Directly impacts delivery time and quality.

• Low: Limited cross-functional/cross-organizational interaction.
• Applies basic foundation of a function’s principles, theories, and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Uses professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience.
• Practical knowledge of applications within the business environment. Acts as a team member by providing information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically 2 years of General/owner experience.
