Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing & Acquisition

The function focuses on understanding present and future customer needs, identification of market opportunities, development and execution of marketing strategies, and programs. The ultimate goal is to drive improvements in HSBC brand equity and contribute to customer growth, revenue growth, increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed objectives and key results.

• The primary accountability of this role is to support Digital Acquisition programs that deliver customer and business outcomes. This includes supporting proposition development and go-to-market strategies.
• Geographical Remit is EMEA region
• The role holder is accountable to the Senior Marketing Manager, Digital & Acquisition
• The role holder is responsible to drive the region’s business targets and objectives through Digital Acquisition activity.
• The role holder will deliver this through the planning, implementation, reporting and optimization of Digital Acquisition activities, grounded in data insights and elevated through creativity and innovation.
• Direct communication with media agency to review performance of online campaigns in order to meet business objectives.
• Ensure measurement and tracking for every digital campaign are available to deliver campaigns results.

Main activities:

• Implement the global digital advertising operations processes and strategies to support digital business growth .
• Execute the agreed strategy and frameworks based on performance, competitive marketplace and industry best practices on all programs.
• Ensure global tagging measurement strategies and processes have been followed, enabling common digital measurement metrics and allowing cross-platform performance and attribution modelling.
• Implement agreed programs with key partners such as Google and Facebook
• Keep abreast of new digital marketing ideas and tactics, propose potential application and support roll out across markets
• Implement marketing best practices across markets to enhance performance including Agile work methodologies with key partners
• Co-ordinate with cross functional team to optimize the end to end (E2E) digital customer journeys
• Collaborate with media agency teams, in particular the Digital Acquisition agency hub team, to deliver projects based on agreed budgets, objectives, targets, milestones in support of multiple business goals
• Manage implementation of Digital marketing programs across all digital channels including public website (PWS) social and other paid channels.
• Work with Group Brand & Social Media team to amplify brand and partnerships content on owned and social media channels
• Act as a digital marketing and market consultant to local market teams
• Take ownership of the delivery of Marketing plans and activities, particularly around Digital Acquisition.
• Be a point of contact for local Marketing teams.
• Collaborate with the other Hub specialist teams (Performance/Planning, Insight, Brand and Events) and the Wealth Personal Banking Customer Marketing Strategy & Programs support team to build strategic, client-centric solutions across the business.
• Be an active participant in constructive cross-business collaboration.
• Demonstrate Customer Centricity by thinking and acting beyond product sales.
• Adopt the agile ways of working in marketing and participate in business value streams/ cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrate a speak-up culture by challenging actions and behaviors that are not consistent with HSBC’s policies and/or the best interests of the business and its customers

Requirements

Experience and abilities

• Digital Marketing professional with understanding of latest developments in the marketing and media world
• Specific experience in key digital channels such as Search, Display, Programmatic, Social, Native, Affiliates and Aggregators
• Understand the use of data and analytics in deriving customer value
• Degree level qualification (desirable)
• Financial services industry experience (ideally within acquisition) and strong understanding of digital business, while experience with travel, lifestyle, and/or other consumer product development is a strong advantage. Ideally, past work experience with digital companies (e.g. Expedia, Google, Apple, Fintech style companies etc.)
• Familiar with the operation of martech for Digital acquisition and able to translate business and customer needs into tech requirements
• Highly collaborative and familiar with Agile working methodologies
• Proven experience in using data and customer insights to drive optimization towards acquisition goals
• Proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment.
• Ability to think innovatively, shaping and communicating new concepts.
