Marketing Media Activation Associate

Role Purpose:

The Marketing Media Activation Associate will be located in the HSBC Marketing function, will report directly to the Media Activation Senior Manager and will have support the Governance and Effectiveness team and the Campaign Managers team.

The role older will be responsible for the control of media budget for each campaigns, budget control, purchase orders to media vendors and media agency and also media reconciliation with media agency. Marketing Media Activation Associate will present the results of media buying reconciliation to Campaign Manager reporting the budget spend per media campaign.

Other purpose of the role is to control the implementation of offline media campaigns, accountable for campaigns should starts on time and in the correct media vendors, but also will review if implementation was set up as approved in the media plan. (Which includes to get media evidences and sending media specifications to creative agency).

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Control of media budget both online and offline
• Generate reporting of media reconciliation per campaign to inform Campaign Managers on media spend.
• Generation of internal purchase orders for both media vendors and agency fees.
• Support the activation of media campaign:
• Implementation of media campaign on time.
• Delivering media specification to creative agency.
• Delivering of media creativities to media agency.
• Tracking of media evidences from media agency.

Leadership & Teamwork

• Assisting the overall media planning process that drives Marketing activity, with involvement and participation to media planning activities to media budgeting.
• Supporting communication of processes and standards with Campaign Managers and Planning & Effectiveness area.
• Strong Teamwork ethic, as the role will interact with the full Marketing function.
• Establish an effective communication channel between all hierarchical levels to reach collective goals.
• Creation of relationships with delivery partners as Finance, Accounting, Procurement, etc. in order to guarantee the payments, billing and any additional requirements.

Functional Knowledge

• Holders of this role are expected to demonstrate a good interaction with intern and external stakeholders such as media agency, creative agency and also campaign managers. This role should have a clear understanding of media planning and proven capabilities to generate budget reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, business administration, economics, accounting or related fields
• At least 2-3-year experience in management information and reporting of budget and costs and media online and offline knowledge.
• Must be able to develop and maintain fair and honest relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Must have a proven ability to persuade and influence people to take desired action.
• Teamwork
• Must have verbal and written communication skills, including presentations.
• Intermediate English skills required.
• Knowledge of MS Office, databases, advanced excel, power point (executive presentations)
• Accounting skills
• Analytic and intuitive thinking
• Problem solving mindset (problem, cause, solution)
