Responsibilities:
·Proactively supporting the Relationship Managers (RM) in managing all aspects of client relationships to enable them to deliver the optimum contribution towards our business plan, improve client engagement and maximise efficiency.
·Working closely with the RMs in preparing credit and financial analysis, call reports, research of the client and sector / industry, financial and operating analysis, account conduct, supplier / buyer analysis and other relevant areas for credit submissions.
·Supporting RMs at client meetings, preparing remarks, coordinating the credit application process, security, documentation and product/solution process, and ensuring that appropriate systems are kept up to date and used efficiently.
·Coordinate credit, onboarding and client servicing processes working closely with specialised teams such as Credit Analysts, Onboarding Managers and Client Services Managers.
·Adheres to processes and controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensures timely escalation of control issues and reputation risks.
·Maintains awareness of risk and minimizes the likelihood of it occurring through its identification, assessment, mitigation and control.
·Successful delivery depends on ability to influence/collaborate with local & regional stakeholders
·Working on ad-hoc projects including (but not limited to): sector analysis, client portfolios and others as required.
Requirements:
·Experience in a client focused corporate banking environment with a demonstrated understanding of commercial lending and credit risk assessment.
·Experience of working within in a global environment and with international clients.
·Broad knowledge of Corporate Banking and Markets structures, products and services
·Strong ‘team’ skills promoting an environment of cooperation and trust, overcoming resistance
where encountered.
·Good relationship management skills and ability to build professional networks.
·Self-motivated and has the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
·Capacity to prioritise workloads and perform efficiently under tight deadlines and pressure.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold New Zealand PR / Citizenship or Australian Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in New Zealand without limitations.
