Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Business Intelligence Supervisor. Primary Function: Supervise the Business Intelligence functions within the Credit Union’s Business Intelligence Department. Responsible for creating, implementing, maintaining and enhancing data warehouse and custom reporting solutions for Credit Union departments.
Supervise the technical operations of the Credit Union Business Intelligence area including the data warehouse development life-cycle, report/dashboard project management, code review, and data warehouse architecture decisions.
Responsible for timely implementation, testing, integration and monitoring of new custom programming to support Credit Union Initiatives.
Work with the Vice President of Business Intelligence to assist in the development and implementation of long-range strategic plans to address the evolving information processing needs of the Credit Union; conduct on-going software research of available products adaptable to Credit Union operations for improvement of performance and delivery of service.
Remain current in emerging data warehouse technology trends primarily related to the financial services industry.
Develop and maintain effective and productive working relationships with user departments, senior managers and vendors. Work with the Vice President of Business Intelligence, key stakeholders and the user community to create, modify and test the Credit Union’s data visualization software. Ensure employees’ adherence to service guidelines and that superior service is provided at all times. Interviews, hires and develops Business Intelligence staff, and is responsible for quality work output of employees.
Conduct regular meetings to provide staff with updated department and Credit Union initiatives. Evaluate and coach employees on a regular basis and provide appropriate feedback. Responsible for employee training and development. Mentor departmental staff on assignments and promote team environment.
Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance/Mathematics/Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, PowerBI desktop, Microsoft Integration Services, Microsoft Analytics Services and SQL Management Studio
Minimum 2 years Knowledge of database systems (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.) architecture
Minimum 1 year of demonstrated project management required.
Minimum 1 year of advanced SQL knowledge required.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory leadership or similar work experience required.
Minimum 1 year experience in financial services industry prefered.
