Humana is currently on an exciting journey to continue to modernize how we operate and bring technology to the forefront of how we serve our members. The Associate Director, Product Management will be integral in establishing the prescribed Product Model that IT will leverage as we transition from traditional project management to product management as an organization.
Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Product Management will work to establish standards including how critical foundational elements such as taxonomy, organizational structure, and how funding should be created to ensure success. In addition to establishing these standards, this position will lead a team that will work across IT to implement product models, mentor Product Owner’s and Project Manager’s, and sponsor Product Owner and Product Management Communities of Practice. This will require them to be able to clearly articulate the value and process of Product Management to individuals at all levels of the organization.
In order for the candidate to be successful, the candidate will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. This experience is necessary to allow the candidate to make recommendations to the various teams. Clear understanding of how to apply this in an Agile environment will be key.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
5+ years Product management experience
2+ years of leadership experience
Strong communication skills

For this position, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
