The Systems Engineer 2 is responsible for design, analysis, configuration and maintenance of complex systems software solutions, based on a thorough knowledge of systems engineering, analytics, research and reporting. Systems engineer leverages the data discovered to configure monitor tools to measure the health and experience of end user experiences. Includes operating systems, device drivers, utilities, and software; development tools. The Systems Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer 2 develops and/or modifies monitoring and alerting systems software for use internally, conducts requirements gathering and analysis, and develops proactive alerts and reporting on potential end user impacts with a focus on prevention. Requires a broad understanding of monitoring tools, networking , and compute principles to measure and detect factors that could impact performance. Engineer would be responsible for the creation of monthly baseline reporting, SLA measurements and health reports.Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 3 or more years as a Systems Engineer in design, analysis, configuration and maintenance of complex monitoring solutions, based on a thorough knowledge of systems engineering and programming concepts and techniques

• 3 or more years Office 365 / Cloud platform administration or engineering

• Experience Includes operating systems, networking, performance utilities, and client facing software

• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field

• Experience in Agile Methodology
