A whole new workforce is been established in Hull and we are looking to recruit 2 Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP) in training who are enthusiastic, kind, compassionate and resilient.
As part of the national rollout mental health support teams we are excited to be the local provider in partnership with schools, colleges, Hull City Council, NHS Hull CCG and Northumbria University to implement and develop this fantastic innovative project in Hull.
The Mental Health Support Teams will integrate into our already well established city wide Hull Thrive model and compliment the many excellent teams and services out there to further enhance the early help and intervention offer.
The teams will work directly into schools and colleges with children and young people between the ages of 5 to 18.
The teams will support schools and the wider system and will have a particular focus on whole school approach, advice support guidance and consultation.
The teams will also deliver targeted low intensity CBT informed based 1:1 and group sessions , Parent led workshops and creative based interventions to support mild to moderate social , emotional and mental health needs.
As part of this role the successful candidates will embark on a one year training course at Northumbria University to gain a post graduate diploma qualification. The role will be a combination of active learning through caseload and service and university lectures, portfolio work and assignments.
