An internal restructuring has created a great new opening for a strong Administrator to join a marine transportation business based in Burnaby. This organization prides itself on upholding the highest possible standards of operation and is dedicated to maintaining and developing valued relationships with customers, communities and the environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring the company remains in regulatory compliance which involves overseeing all documentation and records relating to compliance as well as general administrative duties to support the Operations department. Some occasional travel to the US may be required.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and update multiple databases
• Prepare and verify various documents and reports related to compliance, training, and audits
• Maintain operational KPI’s and collect data to assist with KPI reporting
• Review and enter daily log sheets in IT system
• Oversee and administer various Notice’s related to logistics
• Schedule training courses for employees
• Assist with entering payroll and making payroll adjustments
• Various administrative duties to support the Operations department

What You Bring

• 2+ years of administrative experience
• Background/working knowledge of marine operations is a huge asset
• Completion of high school diploma
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Driver’s license and access to a vehicle are beneficial
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to juggle completing priorities
• Outgoing and adaptable

The starting salary is in the $55-60K range depending on skills and experience and you will also be enrolled in their bonus program. Their excellent benefits package is 100% employer-paid, and they offer up to 8.5% employer match on employee pension contributions.
