Description
The responsibility of this position is to maintain and update commercial loan accounts. That maintenance may include: research/analyze and resolve customer inquiries, making corrections/adjustments to loan accounts utilizing the bank’s accounting system, processing various financial transactions including payments, payoffs and exception processing, and reviewing loan documentation. Work is received through a queue, as well as reports and other methods that are monitored regularly.
Detailed Description:
Under direct supervision of the manager, lead a team of 14 colleagues with daily workflow to ensure that all work is completed within system and team Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
Interact with Huntington internal colleagues (business partners) with questions and concerns regarding Huntington’s Commercial Loan Portfolio’s
Work with other CLS teams as processes and workflows can run concurrently.
Utilize the bank’s systems (AFS, HAWC, etc.) to make corrections/adjustments to loan accounts
Prepare daily and monthly colleague performance reports/KPI’s
Monitor queues in order to handle requests from officers, customers, etc.
Monitor reports that identify potential issues and work to resolve those issues in a timely manner
Review loan documentation and conduct other research as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of banking experience, preferably in an operations environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong Leadership skills
Bank Operations Experience
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel strongly desired/encouraged
Ability to clearly communicate to all levels of management, business partners and various departments within Huntington’s Footprint.
Passport, AFS, Check Vision, EDR & Velocity systems experience preferable
Basic accounting skills, knowledge of debits/credits
Loan documentation review experience preferable
Data entry/10 key experience preferable
Ability to work overtime as needed (normally, but not limited to, the last two and first business days of the month)
Other Traits and Characteristics:
Customer service experience helpful
Strong time-management and prioritization skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to think critically and problem-solve
Demonstrated dependability (attendance)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment adhering to the service level agreement and quality requirements of the position
