The Role
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to help build and maintain web platforms for Firemark ANZ.
You will play a key technical role evolving our core web platform through the delivery of frameworks, patterns, tooling, and best practices to enable our teams to deliver high quality user experiences for our web application customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean code to develop functional web applications
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Support teams doing UI tests to optimize performance of back-end code
- Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Gather and address technical and design requirements
- Provide training and support to internal teams
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
- Experience with continuous integration pipeline set up and deployment in cloud environments
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in software development (3+ years)
- Experienced Node.js dev including test automation and static analysis
- Full Stack, backend focus
- Experience with RDS (PostGreSQL), ECS/Docker, code commit/code pipeline
- Familiar with SalesForce Dev (APEX) preferable
- Experience with scalable architectures, including ELB, container auto-scale and multi-region redundancy
- Microservices, a RESTful approach using JSON, AWS Lambda, message queues and modern design patterns
- Rapid prototyping & service stubbing
- Exposure to Agile practices including lean design & development techniques
- Ability to adapt to new technical skills and methodologies
- Highly developed Analytical and problem-solving Skills, solution orientated
- ReactJS 1yr+ experience desirable
- Understanding of cloud network architectures and firewalling principles
