About the role
DevOps is the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that increases an organization’s ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity: evolving and improving products at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software development and infrastructure management processes. This speed enables organizations to better serve their customers and compete more effectively in the market. A DevOps Developer in a Global Infrastructure domain engages in a wide variety of cloud migration and cloud adoption projects using the DevOps model for users of our services and partners, providing collective experience from across the IBM Cloud customer base. We’re obsessed about delivering strong success for our users, and use DevOps models, practices, and tools along with expertise from across CIO to provide users with the best possible outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

• Work in an Agile, collaborative environment to build, deploy, configure, and maintain systems, which may include software installations, updates, and core services.
• Manage problem identification
• Work with development teams to enable a continuous integration environment that sustains high productivity levels and emphasizes defect prevention techniques.
• Ability to automate test and deploy the code and monitor.
• Work in close coordination with the development and operations team such that the application is in line with performance according to the customer’s expectation.
• Manage Infrastructure.
• Drive incidents/ RCA/ the corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Build common tooling to solve problems, automate and ensure problems are not repeated.

What skills will I need?

• C Sharp & NET Core experience
• Proficient in Restful Services and APIs
• Containerisation experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes
• Experience using Atlassian toolset (Jira and Confluence)
• Experience working in an Azure Cloud environment
• Experience with open ID connect / OAuth is desirable
• Experience in automated testing is desirable – i.e. NUnit
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What experience do I need?

• Minimum 3-6 years Application development
• Minimum 3-6 years Restful Services and APi development
• Minimum 2 years working with Agile methodologies
• Minimum 2 years Application development in a Cloud environment
• Repeated, successful application of the skills with demonstrable results
