We’re looking for a Data Analytics Solution Architect who will be responsible for defining strategy and driving technology solutions in the data analytics and emerging technologies space for Food and Drug Administration (FDA). You’ll integrate different domain applications and data in ways that enhance FDA’s current environments and helps push them forward to next generation capabilities. This will include helping them modernize, build and support reporting, data integration and data science environments in a cloud or hybrid environments. Also apply big data analytics in a coordinated, cohesive manner to help clients solve business use cases they could not previously address. You’ll also provide mentorship and guidance to other data analytics professionals within the company.
What you’ll be doing:
Develop long-term partnerships with customers and vendors and contribute to the development of their strategic business plans by understanding the future direction of their organization, the industry, and the customer’s business.
Develop working relationships with staff to facilitate the adoption of best practices, including standards, methodology and metrics in preparing architecture deliverables and be comfortable creating rapidly delivered prototypes that speed client approvals.
Work closely with the stakeholder groups to translate business use cases to specific solution architecture design, including assisting with planning the implementation timelines and then looping back to address subsequent questions and confirming implementation guidelines are followed.
Assess customers’ current state architecture, provide recommendations on future state architecture and implementation roadmap.
Provide mentorship and career guidance to other data analytics professionals within the practice – data analysts, data engineers, data architects, data scientists, etc.
What you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field: Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
10+ years’ experience developing data management solutions and strategy across a range of industry, client and technologies, including ETL and database solution development supporting data integration, data warehousing, data lake and analytic pipelines
5+ years of experience defining technical architecture, infrastructure design, system requirements, and technical analysis/design as well as implementing data management systems, including experience with Big Data systems (e.g., Hadoop, EMR), cloud data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake), unified analytics platforms such as Databricks, integration technologies and frameworks (e.g., ETL, MDM, EAI, Data Services),and reporting/analytic systems, and Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc
4+ years of experience designing and implementing Enterprise Data Governance solutions, DevSecOps environment building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Terraform, AWS Code)
4+ years of experience working within modern data architecture setup involving AWS, GCP or Azure and working within the full lifecycle SDLC as part of a software product and operations team environment
US Citizen or Permanent Lawful Resident (Green Card Holder) preferred. Employment must be compliant with eligibility for Public Trust Clearance due to Government Contract.

Experience with unified data analytics platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks
Experience with driving Agile Software Delivery Life Cycle in a business environment.
Experience with vendor management, software evaluation and selection.
Experience with applied data science workspace involving tools like Python/Jupyter, R and SAS
Knowledge of Big Data integration tools such as Spark, AWS Kinesis, and Kafka
Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment while effectively prioritizing and executing tasks while under pressure
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform data and organizational assessments, and build a data strategy/roadmap for implementation
Familiar with enabling solutions in a SaaS and PaaS models (utilize serverless components)
Superior organizational and end to end delivery skills in an Agile environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities with proactive communication in mind
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with development and business teams based on a proactive communication style
Strong Analytical and reasoning skills that result in clear, robust, and accurate solutions
