IGT is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of gaming products and systems. IGT Australia provides a range of gaming products, systems and services to the Club, Hotel and Casino industries.
IGT is searching for a junior to mid-level software engineer who is passionate about developing games to join our Melbourne based team of game development software engineers. This team is responsible for the creation of new and exciting game concepts. Within this role you will work in an established cross-functional development team that’s agile, open, fun, and driven to build high quality tech.
We have an office/test lab in Notting Hill however this role will be primarily a work from home role with occasional trips into the office for testing and other activities that cannot be completed at home.
What are we looking for?

  • A passion for developing games and high-quality software.
  • Excellent programming skills in C# and .NET but can turn their hand to any language.
  • Experience in developing games (Unity is preferred).
  • Experience in performance debugging is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of working with Windows OS, developing Windows applications (Windows 10) and using Windows as a development environment is preferred.
  • Experience using Software Developer Tools such as Visual Studio 2019+ is preferred.
  • Experience with source control tools (preferred Perforce or git) and Jira and Confluence are desirable.
  • Able to thrive in an agile environment
The successful candidate will enjoy working within a team and value supporting others. They will be a mature person who also has a high level of thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks.
What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Exposure or development experience with shaders, shader graph and other real time visual effects.
  • Casino game development experience is a bonus.
  • Experience using creative tools (photoshop, aftereffects) and working with creatives is preferred.
