The HCBS Direct Support Professional is responsible for implementation and documentation of goals and objectives for individuals served. The DSP will be an active advocate for individuals served with an emphasis on individual choice and decision-making. What does a Direct Support Professional do? Teach; provide guidance, and support/assistance on a range of goals from: i Personal hygiene i Medication management i Bathing and toileting i Social participation i Meal preparation and nutrition i Household budgeting i Exercise i Cleaning i Work and relationship skills i Provide transportation to/from and support at medical appointments, shopping, recreational and social events.Required Qualifications: iMinimum 16 years of age to provide SCL services. Minimum of 18 years of age to provide HBH services. Background checks with previous employers, references, law enforcement agencies, and others will be conducted and found satisfactory.
