Primary Job Function: A polisher performs manual polishing of small and large parts using the appropriate tools, equipment and/or machines to achieve surface requirements that meets customer expectations.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Operating manual polishing machines
• Set-up parts in fixtures
• Operating an electric drill to plug tanks in prep for polishing
• Wrapping and packaging parts for shipment
• Control plans, and work instructions
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications (Preferred):

Specific Experience: Experience using basic hand tools and machinery

Formal Education: Graduation from an accredited High School or completion of GED program

Certifications: N/A

Skills: Be able to read control sheets and work instructions, legible handwriting

Physical Requirements of the Job:

Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, equipment settings, parts labels and written materials and inspecting set up and work products.

Speech and hearing capacity appropriate for frequent person to person and phone-based conversations and meetings.

Ability to move about fabrication plant with walking and other manufacturing environment hazards. Frequent reaching with both hands, bending, pushing & pulling loads, lifting or maneuvering loads of 50 lbs, standing on concrete for long periods of time, tolerance for wearing protective apparel and devices. Working frequently in a hot, noisy environment.

PPE:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to be worn on production floor at all times: Hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toe work boots or shoes.

PPE required when performing job specific task: Cut resistant gloves required when working on parts with sharp edges. Any other PPE deemed necessary by supervisor or department head from changes in process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
