The Therapy Awareness Consultant (TAC) is responsible for providing, operational, educational and sales support to an assigned Territory and Territory Manager sales team. In support of such Territory Manager(s), the TAC will work to grow Impulse Dynamics therapy adoption and device IPG sales. The TAC will accomplish this by engaging with targeted implanting and referring physicians as well as other clinicians and office personnel to promote awareness of CCM therapy, indications for Optimizer implantation, and patient identification/patient screening best practices.
How You’ll Add Value
- Coordinate and partner with Territory Managers in growing Impulse Dynamics business in targeted centers to ensure Impulse Dynamics sales targets are achieved.
- Assist Territory Managers with patient identification, screening programs, and patient education programs.
- Educate on CCM therapy, the physician specialists, advanced practice providers, and medical practice personnel that manage heart failure patients (heart failure, cardiology, internal medicine, and general & family practice) with the goal of increasing therapy awareness and patient referrals for Optimizer implants. Facilitate meetings with new physicians on a monthly basis.
- Connect those physicians and practices who refer heart failure patients with electrophysiologists (EPs) and implanting cardiologists who implant Optimizer devices by coordinating peer-to-peer events. Develop physician and office champions for patient referrals.
- Meet with the hospital marketing department, media relations, and/or physician liaisons of each targeted hospital facility.
- Serve as the primary Impulse Dynamics field coordinator of Direct to Patient Programs that are administered in the assigned geography.
- Work to enroll practices, physicians, and patients in the PRIA Patient Access Program
- Identify, assess, and execute best practices and innovative approaches to patient identification and screening. When possible, educate the US Commercial Organization on beneficial approaches.
- Remain educated on current industry trends and relevant competitive devices.
- Provide support in administrative reporting and analysis as needed.
- Field-based position and up to 20% overnight travel.
What You’re Bringing with You
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree or equivalent required.
- 5+ years’ experience within the healthcare industry serving in either the industry or provider sectors
- Experience with customer-facing relationships including extensive experience with both physicians and patients.
- Experience with operating room procedures, clinic, and surgical center protocols.
- Valid driver’s license.
