Your Job
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support our growing network operations around the world. In this role, you’ll be working with the IT Solutions Team on an intricate, modern and highly dynamic network which provides job search results to over 250 million unique visitors per month. If you’re talented, love to learn, and enjoy troubleshooting, this position is a great opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to a top-tier web site.
Core responsibilities:
- Ensure timely delivery of network projects.
- Continuous improvement of all aspects of the network architecture and processes.
- Communicate and collaborate with a global team of network engineers.
- Ability to communicate network solutions to technical and non-technical employees.
- Provide daily support for Indeed network operations.
- Troubleshoot network outages and document root cause.
- Documentation from beginning to end for network projects.
- Provide cross-functional team support to system and security administrators for timely project completion.
- Identify trends and appropriate alerting.
- Participation in on-call escalations, as they may arise.
Who You Are
Our ideal candidate will have a strong mix of the below skills and experience.
- Knowledge of Wireless, TCP/IP, spanning-tree, subnetting, routing protocols, access control lists, vpn, network access control, and firewall operations.
- Experience in a multi-vendor environment, with the ability to transfer network configurations and concepts from one vendor to another. Desired vendor experience in Cisco, Extreme, Cumulus, Juniper, Palo Alto firewalls and Mist wireless.
- Practical configuration experience with OSPF, BGP, port-channels, firewalls, network fabrics, and DMVPN.
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure in a networking capacity.
- Network tools including but not limited to: Ansible, Wireshark, Network Management Systems, Network configuration management, sflow/netflow, IPAM, and SDN.
A bonus if you have experience in the below:
- Linux familiarity.
- Git familiarity
- AWS Familiarity.
- Desired Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP-ENT or similar.
- BS in an Engineering field or comparable experience.
